• Why hire a DJ from Get the Party Started?

Anybody can play a CD or use a playlist from an iPod but it does take experience to read a crowd and continue to keep the party going. Mood’s change as the event goes on and the type of music must be adapted to ensure the dancefloor keeps moving

  • Will you play requests?

Of course it’s your party! During each consultation with Get the Party Started, we will go over songs you want played and the most overlooked – the "do not play" list. You will have the ability to construct a full, or partial playlist to make sure that your favorite songs are played

  • What time will you arrive for my event?

At least one hour before your guests arrive

  • After I book, how do I know my DJ will be there?

Once you book, your event is confirmed and this date is solely reserved for you and your party

  • How much do you charge?

Our fees vary depending on the hours needed, date of your event, and location. Please call or e-mail for an exact price quote

  • Does it cost to add lights, special effects, and microphones?

No!!! We believe in straightforward pricing and avoiding any hidden fees that will catch you off guard. To provide the best possible ambience at your function, the full line of equipment and extra’s must be employed. It’s all about the atmosphere and creating an environment where a party can succeed, so why stop at just the sound system? Get the Party Started uses every weapon at our disposal to ensure success at your event

  • What type of equipment do you have?

We use fully digital music (Over 50,000 songs!!!), laptops, CD Players, wireless and wired microphones, laser/light show, fog machines, and intelligent lighting

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

Interac e-mail money transfer, Paypal, Cash, Cheque, or Chocolate...

  • How does the deposit and payment work? 

After your consultation, should you feel that you want to confirm your booking with Get the Party Started, 50% of your fee will be used as a deposit to hold the date, with the balance due on your event

  • How loud will you play the music? 

It’s your event. However we will continually monitor the volume and adjust frequently throughout the night to get to your specifications

  • Can your DJ be the MC for our Wedding?

We are able to perform MC responsibilities at your wedding but we do encourage you to use someone you know as they will be able to provide familiarity and will better be able to relate to and understand your guests

  • What areas do you service?

We can DJ wherever you need us - Calgary, Banff, Canmore, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Okotoks, High River, Drumheller, Radium, Invermere,  Airdrie, and Strathmore. Contact us if you live somewhere else and we'll see if we can work something out
